This role is based in New York and is integral to the firm's global strategy, which places clients at the center of its operations. The Business Development (BD) function plays a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth by collaborating with partners, lawyers, and other business professionals to convert key client and market opportunities into actionable business development and marketing plans.

In this hands-on and proactive position, the Business Development Manager will work directly with the Americas TPE practice, supporting the execution of BD strategies. Responsibilities include establishing and overseeing the development and implementation of business development and marketing plans aligned with the firm's overall strategy. The role also involves tracking progress against these plans, commissioning in-depth research on regional product and market trends, clients, prospects, and competitors, and ensuring the quality of output meets partner expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development within a professional services environment, with experience in the legal sector being advantageous. Key qualifications include excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Strong project management, organizational, and planning skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. A high level of maturity and confidence to interact with firm lawyers is necessary, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM database programs.
