Business Development Representative
Ceribell is seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our expanding sales team in San Francisco. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in high-activity, outbound environments and are motivated by measurable performance, professional growth, and making a meaningful impact in healthcare. The BDR will serve as the initial point of contact for prospective customers, engaging healthcare stakeholders to understand workflow challenges and generate qualified leads for our field sales team.
Key responsibilities include proactive prospecting through high-volume outbound activities such as cold calling, emailing, and social outreach to introduce Ceribell’s solutions. The BDR will research target accounts to identify key stakeholders and decision-makers, uncover patient-care needs, and assess fit, urgency, and interest while clearly articulating Ceribell’s value proposition. Additionally, the role involves securing and coordinating introductory meetings for field sales partners, building and advancing opportunities through the early stages of the sales funnel, and maintaining accurate records in Salesforce.
The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in sales development, outbound prospecting, cold calling, or customer-facing roles, with proven experience in prospecting and cold outreach. Alternatively, candidates with an RN, BSN, or equivalent clinical background are strongly preferred, especially those with experience in acute care, ICU, ED, neuro, or hospital-based settings. A strong desire to break into MedTech or medical device sales, coupled with a coachable and eager-to-learn attitude, is essential. The candidate should be highly motivated, competitive, resilient, and comfortable with rejection, driven by goals, metrics, and continuous improvement. Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to build rapport quickly, and adapt messaging to different stakeholders are also important.
Compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $90,000 USD annually, with the final offer based on skills, education, work location, and experience. Additional compensation may include bonuses consistent with Ceribell’s corporate compensation plan. Ceribell offers a comprehensive benefits package, including performance-based incentive compensation, equity opportunities, 100% employer-paid health benefits for employees, generous employer contributions for dependents, paid life and long-term disability insurance, 401(k) with a generous company match, employee stock purchase plan with a discount, monthly cell phone stipend, flexible paid time off, 13 paid holidays plus 3 company wellness days, excellent parental leave policy, and tremendous career advancement opportunities within a mission-minded organization.
Joining Ceribell means becoming part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to transforming the diagnosis and management of patients with serious neurological conditions. Our team is committed to innovation and improving critical care through rapid seizure detection technology. We foster a collaborative and supportive culture that values professional growth and offers significant opportunities for career advancement.
