Business Development Representative - Midwest
Ceribell is seeking a driven and results-focused Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales team in the Midwest region. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a high-activity, outbound environment and are motivated by measurable performance, professional growth, and meaningful impact in healthcare. The BDR serves as the first point of contact for prospective customers, leveraging either sales discipline or clinical insight to engage healthcare stakeholders, understand workflow challenges, and generate a qualified pipeline for our field sales team. This is a high-visibility opportunity to build foundational MedTech sales skills within a fast-growing company, with a defined pathway toward future field-based medical device roles.
Key responsibilities include proactively prospecting by engaging physicians, nurses, and hospital stakeholders within assigned accounts through high-volume outbound activity, including cold calling, email, and social outreach to introduce Ceribell’s solutions. The BDR will conduct thorough research to identify key decision-makers, uncover patient-care needs, and clinical and operational pain points. Engaging prospects to assess fit, urgency, and interest while clearly articulating Ceribell’s value proposition is essential. Additionally, the role involves securing and coordinating high-quality introductory meetings for field sales partners, building and advancing opportunities through the early stages of the sales funnel, and maintaining accurate account and activity records in Salesforce.
The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in sales development, outbound prospecting, cold calling, or customer-facing roles, with proven experience in prospecting and cold outreach. Alternatively, an RN, BSN, or equivalent clinical background is strongly preferred. Experience in acute care, ICU, ED, neuro, or hospital-based settings is a plus. Candidates should demonstrate a strong desire to break into MedTech/medical device sales, be coachable, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-moving environment. A highly motivated, competitive, and resilient mindset is essential, along with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly and adapt messaging to different stakeholders. Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and other similar platforms is also desired.
Compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $90,000 annually, with performance-based incentive compensation and equity opportunities. Ceribell offers 100% employer-paid health benefits for employees, 50%–70% employer-paid health, dental, and vision for dependents (depending on plan selection), 100% paid life and long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) with a generous company match, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) with a discount, monthly cell phone stipend, flexible paid time off, 13 paid holidays plus 3 company wellness days, and an excellent parental leave policy.
Joining Ceribell means becoming part of a mission-minded organization dedicated to transforming the landscape of critical care through rapid seizure detection technology. The company fosters a fantastic culture with tremendous career advancement opportunities, making it an excellent place for professional growth and meaningful impact in the healthcare industry.
