Case Manager in Training
The Case Manager in Training position at Morgan & Morgan is designed to prepare individuals for a future role as a Case Manager within the firm. This role involves rotating support across various attorneys and case staff, providing comprehensive exposure to the firm's operations and case management processes. In this role, the trainee will assist in organizing and maintaining client files, which may encompass managing over 100 cases. Responsibilities include ordering medical records from providers, preparing comprehensive demand packages for submission to carriers, and investigating case facts. The trainee will also learn to negotiate reductions of outstanding medical balances with providers and prepare necessary documents and correspondence to facilitate case settlements.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with 1-2 years of experience in roles such as Administrative Assistant, Insurance Adjuster, or similar support positions, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal department. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and attention to detail are essential. Effective written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as proficiency in computer programs, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite. A typing speed of at least 35 words per minute is also necessary.
