Clinical Trial, Commercial & R&D Counsel (Pharma / Life Sciences)
Axiom is seeking experienced attorneys to join their legal teams within the pharmaceutical and health systems sectors. This role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial and research-related agreements, emphasizing global transactions, collaborations with Clinical Research Organizations (CROs), and research and development (R&D) initiatives. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, offering flexibility to suit various professional preferences.
Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements such as Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs), and Consulting Agreements. The role also involves providing legal support for global transactions and cross-border collaborations, advising on engagements with CROs, handling R&D-related legal work—including pre-clinical research agreements, sponsored research agreements, and Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs)—and supporting licensing and collaboration agreements within the life sciences sector. Additionally, the attorney will partner with business stakeholders, including business development and licensing teams, on strategic and operational initiatives, contributing to structuring and negotiating research collaborations and related transactions.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and maintain active bar membership in good standing. Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or health system sectors is required, with a preference for candidates who have a blend of experience across these areas. Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following priority areas is essential: global transactional experience, working with Clinical Research Organizations (CROs), or R&D legal work, including pre-clinical and sponsored research. Familiarity with intellectual property transactions in the life sciences space, experience supporting licensing, collaboration, and research agreements, and strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are also necessary.
