The Closing Paralegal at Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) plays a pivotal role in managing post-closing requirements for core fund loans and overseeing the closing of special loan fund loans. Reporting directly to the Vice President, General Counsel, this position is integral to ensuring that NFF's lending activities are executed with precision, compliance, and care, thereby enabling the organization to deploy capital responsibly and effectively. NFF is a remote-first organization with offices in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Oakland, and Los Angeles, and this role is based remotely within the United States, with a strong preference for candidates within commutable distance to NFF’s New York City office.

In this role, the Closing Paralegal is responsible for drafting amendments and waiver letters, organizing and tracking closing documentation for loan transactions, assisting with pre-closing and closing activities, collecting signature pages, preparing wire transfer requests, and filing UCC filings, including continuation and termination statements. Additional duties include performing lien and litigation searches, conducting corporate entity searches, preparing and managing collateral release documents, scheduling post-closing meetings with various departments, tracking and following up on post-closing documents, and managing post-closing checklists. The position also involves serving as the Asana manager, creating and maintaining client files, uploading files to corporate cloud document management systems and Salesforce, maintaining tracking for loan amendments, coordinating department meetings, mailings, and filing projects, and providing post-closing support to NFF’s NMTC team.

Candidates for this position should possess a strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach. A commitment to advancing NFF’s mission through careful, compliant execution of legal and lending processes is essential. The role requires proficiency in drafting legal documents, managing complex administrative tasks, and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure seamless post-closing operations. Experience in legal or financial services, particularly in loan documentation and compliance, is highly desirable.

The salary range for this position is $99,500 to $110,600 annually. NFF offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and generous paid time off. As a remote-first organization, NFF provides flexibility in work arrangements, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Nonprofit Finance Fund is dedicated to building community wealth and well-being by providing access to capital and resources for organizations that serve communities.
