Cloud Reliability Engineer
The Cloud Reliability Engineer at Viant Technology will be responsible for writing and integrating various open-source and proprietary tools. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of systems engineering and automation, including configuration management, containerization, and scripting.
Key responsibilities include developing, configuring, and deploying tools for cloud-based systems and services, containerizing new and legacy applications, and maintaining awareness of new technologies. The role also involves providing level of effort and scoping for projects, supporting development and operations teams, enhancing or debugging developer code as needed, and ensuring comprehensive observability across all aspects of application and system performance. Participation in an on-call rotation is required for timely response to system incidents and maintenance needs.
Required qualifications include over three years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role, more than two years of professional Linux administration experience, and over two years of experience with major cloud providers such as AWS or Google Cloud. Additionally, candidates should have at least one year of experience with serverless architectures like AWS Lambda or Google Cloud Functions, Docker or Kubernetes, and Terraform. Proficiency in creating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and demonstrated skills in programming languages such as Python or GoLang are also necessary. Experience working with SQL and Google BigQuery is preferred.
Viant Technology offers a competitive base compensation range of $120,000 to $150,000.
