The Commerce Strategy Lead at WPP Media is a pivotal role within the OpenMind team, dedicated to accelerating Nestlé's European media transformation. This position focuses on providing robust eCommerce and Retail Media leadership across Nestlé's categories, ensuring the seamless execution of Retail Digital Media (RDM) strategies and End-to-End Commerce initiatives. The role demands close collaboration with internal teams, retailers, and external partners to drive measurable outcomes such as increased basket incidence, transaction uplift, and consumer recruitment.

Key responsibilities include orchestrating cross-functional collaboration by acting as the central coordinator for RDM and E2E Commerce initiatives, aligning marketing, commercial, analytics, and customer teams. The lead will facilitate regular workshops to synchronize stakeholders on campaign objectives and timelines, partner with trade and shopper marketing teams for effective customer-specific strategies, and serve as the primary liaison between Nestlé and external partners to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.

The ideal candidate will possess over eight years of experience in commerce across paid media, trade strategy, retail, consulting, and analytics. They should demonstrate the ability to execute strategic plans that achieve business objectives, manage direct reports, and have a strong drive to understand the retail landscape and emerging trends in commerce media. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, along with a deep understanding of retail commercial elements such as profit margin, inventory levels, forecasting, and demand planning to inform media decisions.
