Commercial Counsel

Flex is seeking an exceptional commercial attorney to join its Legal & Compliance team as Associate General Counsel, Commercial. This role is pivotal in shaping the legal framework for Flex's go-to-market initiatives, including new product launches, business development, and channel partnerships. The position is based in either New York City or San Francisco, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring three days per week on-site.

The Associate General Counsel will own the legal strategy for Flex's critical initiatives, serving as the primary legal advisor from deal structuring through execution. Responsibilities include leading AI-powered contracting processes, designing and implementing AI-assisted workflows, and establishing governance frameworks for AI use within the legal function. The role also involves representing Legal in cross-functional AI working groups and defining the commercial legal technology roadmap.

Candidates must have over 10 years of combined experience in top-tier law firms and in-house legal departments, with deep expertise in commercial transactions and corporate matters. Experience in fintech, payments, lending, or proptech is preferred, along with a strong background in AI-powered legal tools and legal technology governance. A JD from an accredited law school and membership in good standing of a U.S. state bar are required.

For candidates in Tier 1 markets (NYC/SF/Seattle), the base salary range is $256,000 to $320,000 USD.
