Commercial Counsel

Navan is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join its expanding Legal team in New York, NY. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing company that is redefining the travel and expense industry through innovative technology solutions.

The Commercial Counsel will be responsible for drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, including sales and services agreements and data processing agreements, with enterprise customers. The role involves leading customer-facing legal negotiations in collaboration with Sales, Privacy, Finance, and Product teams, as well as developing templates and playbooks to enhance collaboration and support the Sales team.

Candidates should be qualified lawyers with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology company, and have significant experience negotiating complex commercial agreements with Fortune 500 companies. Experience with global commercial contracts, particularly in Australia, and knowledge of privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA/CPRA are strongly preferred.
