Commercial Counsel

Navan is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Commercial Counsel to join our expanding Legal team in Dallas, TX. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing company that is redefining the travel and expense industry through innovative technology solutions.

The Commercial Counsel will be responsible for drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, including sales and services agreements and data processing agreements, with enterprise customers. This position involves leading customer-facing legal negotiations in partnership with Sales, Privacy, Finance, and Product teams, as well as developing templates and playbooks to enhance collaboration and support the Sales team.

The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer with over five years of experience, particularly in negotiating complex commercial agreements with Fortune 500 companies, preferably within a SaaS or technology environment. Experience with global commercial contracts, especially in Australia, and a strong understanding of privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA/CPRA are highly desirable.
