Commercial Manager - Warsaw Hub
The Commercial Manager for the Warsaw Commercial Billing & Collections Hub at Clifford Chance is a pivotal leadership role within the firm's One Europe Commercial Finance structure. Key responsibilities include overseeing the billing and collections processes for all offices supported by the Commercial Hub, co-designing the Order to Cash (O2C) service at Clifford Chance, and leading the implementation of standardized Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), harmonized working practices, and governance frameworks across jurisdictions. The Commercial Manager will also chair or co-lead routines to ensure alignment between the Commercial Hub delivery, office expectations, and the One Europe Commercial Finance strategy, act as the escalation point for Commercial Hub-related matters, and identify bottlenecks to introduce improvements that enhance efficiency, transparency, and client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate should have 5–8 years of experience in billing, collections, or commercial operations within a professional-services Hub (Shared Services Center/Global Business Services), with proven experience managing or overseeing multi-office, high-volume revenue cycles. A deep operational knowledge of end-to-end O2C workflows, including billing compliance, dispute resolution, escalations, and lock-up management, is essential. The candidate should also have experience driving governance frameworks, process standardization, and operational transformation across jurisdictions, a finance and accounting foundation, and strong data fluency to interpret KPIs, dashboards, and metrics, converting insights into targeted improvements.
