Compliance Officer, Card Network Specialist
Adyen is seeking a Compliance Officer, Card Network Specialist, to join their dynamic Compliance team in San Francisco. This role focuses on ensuring adherence to Card Network and Local Payment Methods Rules, playing a pivotal part in maintaining compliance within the payments industry. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with various departments, including risk, legal, finance, and sales, to provide strategic guidance that supports sustainable growth.
In this position, you will proactively identify compliance obligations related to Card Networks and Local Payment Methods Rules. Your responsibilities will include translating these obligations into comprehensive policies and procedures, representing the compliance team across multiple workstreams, and participating in product risk assessments. Additionally, you will support the first line of defense, handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders, and advise both internal and external parties, including auditors, on compliance matters.
The role requires at least 2-3 years of experience in the payments or credit card industry, with a solid understanding of the finance and payment sectors. Experience with Card Networks and Scheme Rules is essential. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to draft and monitor the implementation of relevant policies and procedures, and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders. Comfort in addressing senior management and influencing across all organizational levels is crucial.
