Compliance Officer (Malta)
The Compliance Officer at Eqvilent is responsible for overseeing and implementing the company's compliance monitoring plan, ensuring adherence to MiFID requirements and dedicating the majority of their time to monitoring activities. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders to maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Key responsibilities include deploying the compliance monitoring plan throughout the calendar year, monitoring activities related to compliance, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes, preparing and presenting compliance reports to management, and providing training and guidance to employees on compliance matters as needed.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field, along with previous experience in a compliance or regulatory role, preferably within the financial services industry. A strong understanding of MiFID requirements and regulations, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Certification in Compliance or related fields is considered a plus.
