Clifford Chance, a leading international law firm with over 30 offices worldwide, is seeking a full-time Conflicts Analyst to join their Business Intake Management team. This role is available in New York, Washington D.C., or Houston and reports to the Conflicts Team Manager – Americas. The Conflicts Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the firm's compliance with ethical standards, applicable laws, and internal policies by evaluating potential conflicts of interest related to new clients and matters.

In this position, the Conflicts Analyst will be responsible for gathering information from established databases and attorneys to identify potential conflicts of interest. They will assess whether new mandates or changes to existing mandates can be accepted within the context of conflicts, regulatory rules, and internal policies. The role involves conducting research in public databases and the firm's conflict management systems, analyzing findings, and presenting results in a timely and organized manner. Additionally, the Conflicts Analyst will respond to inquiries regarding conflicts of interest and other engagement risk issues, provide ad hoc reports on clients, establish information barriers, and assist with lateral hire conflict checks.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant conflicts analysis experience in a law firm or professional services firm. A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a client service mindset. They should be able to gather and analyze information to make effective decisions and solve problems, work under pressure to meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with internal clients and colleagues. Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to learn new software are essential. Availability to work outside core business hours when needed and compliance with the firm's Agile Working Policy, which requires employees to work from the office at least three days per week, are also required. Candidates must be independently legally authorized to work in the United States.

The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $125,000 annually, with the actual salary commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience. Clifford Chance offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package.
