MapLight Therapeutics is seeking a Contracts and Legal Systems Manager to support its legal operations within the biotechnology sector. This role involves managing the company's contract management system and handling various legal agreements essential to the organization's functions.

The Contracts and Legal Systems Manager will oversee the operation and administration of the company's contract management system, serving as the primary point of contact for business users. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of contracts such as non-disclosure agreements, master service agreements, consulting agreements, manufacturing and supply agreements, and clinical trial agreements. The role also entails developing policies and procedures to facilitate efficient contract development and analysis, managing outside vendors including supervising outside counsel, and creating or improving templates and processes to enhance efficiency.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of progressive responsibility in contract negotiation, administration, or management, preferably within pharmaceutical or life sciences companies. Experience with contract management systems like Ariba, Coupa, Concur, or NetSuite is essential. A paralegal certification or equivalent legal education or training is considered a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to work independently, and comprehensive computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $130,000 to $155,000 per year, along with benefits such as an annual bonus opportunity, medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan with match, stock options, flexible non-accrual paid time off, and parental leave.
