Core Developer CeFi - Digital Assets
IMC is seeking a Core Developer for its CeFi - Digital Assets team in Zug, Switzerland. This role involves designing, coding, testing, and optimizing IMC's proprietary, low-latency trading system. The successful candidate will work autonomously within a fast-paced, flat team structure, contributing to the company's expansion into cryptocurrency and DeFi markets.
Key responsibilities include developing a competitive, ultra-low-latency trading platform, designing and implementing advanced trade execution and connectivity solutions, and collaborating with the algorithmic trading strategies team to impact production directly. The role also involves optimizing system performance by enhancing network access, hardware utilization, and programming execution, as well as staying updated with exchange protocol changes.
Candidates should possess a Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. Excellent programming skills in C++ within a Linux environment are essential, along with the ability to write clean, maintainable code. In-depth knowledge of low-level network and system programming, experience in developing low-latency systems, and a solid grasp of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, memory and concurrency models, CPU architecture, operating systems, networks, and performance optimization, are required. Experience in statistics, large-scale data processing systems, machine learning, and grid-based computing is advantageous. A finance background is not necessary.
The position is based onsite at IMC's Zug office, with limited flexibility for remote work.
