Corporate Counsel, Commercial
As Corporate Counsel at Axon, you will be a key member of the contracts and corporate team, supporting global sales operations. Axon is dedicated to protecting life through innovative public safety technologies, including devices and cloud software. This role involves close collaboration with teams such as Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, Product, and IT to structure and negotiate complex transactions, contributing to the company's rapid growth.
Your primary responsibilities will include providing legal advice on transactional matters related to Axon's portfolio of public safety technology products. This encompasses structuring, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for goods, services, and SaaS solutions. Additionally, you will supervise and review the work of Contracts Managers, set and enforce acceptable risk levels, and lead the development and implementation of contract lifecycle management systems.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in-house, negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts. A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar are required. Proficiency in drafting and negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts, including those for SaaS, hardware, and services, is essential. Experience with intellectual property agreements, international negotiations, and contract lifecycle processes is also desired.
