Legal Corporate Counsel, Commercial
Axon Enterprise is seeking a Legal Corporate Counsel to join its contracts and corporate team, supporting global sales operations. This role involves collaborating with various departments, including Sales, Supply Chain, Software and Hardware Engineering, Product, and IT, to structure and negotiate complex transactions, as well as developing processes to support a rapidly scaling business.
Key responsibilities include providing legal advice on transactional matters related to the sale of Axon's public safety technology products, such as structuring, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for goods, services, and SaaS solutions. The role also involves supervising and reviewing the work of Contracts Managers, setting and enforcing acceptable risk levels, and leading the development and implementation of contract lifecycle management systems.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in-house, negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts. Proficiency in structuring, drafting, and negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts, including those for SaaS, hardware, and services, is essential. Experience in intellectual property licensing and ownership agreements, as well as international agreements, is also required. A Juris Doctor (J.D.) and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar are mandatory.
The compensation package includes a competitive salary, with base pay ranging from $122,500 to $200,000, depending on geographic location and other factors.
