The Corporate Development Analyst at The Orchard plays a pivotal role in supporting mergers and acquisitions, executing corporate transactions, and developing strategic growth opportunities. This pre-MBA position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior management, providing firsthand experience in high-level strategic decision-making within a leading full-service music distribution company operating in 48 markets worldwide.
Key responsibilities include executing detailed financial models and analyses to facilitate decision-making, staying current on regional markets and industry trends to evaluate business opportunities, and analyzing both financial and non-financial data to draw conclusions and make recommendations. The analyst will also prepare materials for financial planning, senior management presentations, and budgeting processes, as well as assist in developing relationships with key internal and external partners.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least two years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy roles. High proficiency in preparing financial management reports, deep dive analysis into business performance, and valuation models is essential. Strong analytical skills, fluency with Excel, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are also required.
The anticipated annual base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
