Corporate Ratings - Senior Analyst (NY)
KBRA is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Corporate Ratings team in New York. This role involves conducting fundamental credit research across various industrial and service sectors, contributing to our mission of delivering accurate and transparent credit ratings.
The Senior Analyst will lead corporate credit rating processes, including engaging with issuers, bankers, and attorneys to develop credit opinions. Responsibilities include preparing internal credit reports for rating committees, analyzing cash flows, performing sector analyses, and assisting in the development of rating methodologies. Additionally, the role involves participating in outreach activities to demonstrate industry knowledge and understanding of KBRA methodologies at issuer and investor meetings.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or management, with an MBA or CFA preferred. A minimum of two years of experience in credit analysis within a rating agency, buy-side firm, credit research, banking, or similar environment is required. Strong quantitative skills, proficiency in financial statement analysis, and advanced Excel capabilities are essential. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment, are also necessary.
The anticipated annual base salary for this full-time position ranges from $85,000 to $105,000, determined by factors such as experience, skills, and geography.
