Criminal Defense Attorney
The United Firm, also known as La Liga Defensora, APC, is seeking a dedicated Criminal Defense Associate Attorney to join their team in Kern County, California. As a Criminal Defense Associate Attorney, you will report directly to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney and collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys and legal assistants.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include advising clients on their legal rights, preparing and reviewing legal documents pertinent to their cases, and representing clients at pretrial hearings. You will also manage court appearances, trials, draft motions, interview witnesses, and conduct legal research. Additionally, analyzing potential case outcomes using knowledge of legal precedents and managing a caseload effectively will be essential aspects of your daily work.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in criminal defense, with a proven track record in handling complex cases at federal, state, and local levels. Strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to exceptional client service, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are crucial. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
Compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience.
