Customer Service Representative – Physical Sales (Part-Time)
The Customer Service Representative – Physical Sales role at Sony Music Entertainment Australia supports the physical sales function of Sony Music products. This part-time position, based in Melbourne, involves providing day-to-day administrative support to the Director of Sales. The role is a 12-month maximum term contract, requiring three days of work per week, with Monday being mandatory and the other two days negotiable.
Key responsibilities include compiling and tracking logistical information for new product launches, such as SKUs, product titles, descriptions, and imagery. The representative will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with independent retail partners, manage order processing, and coordinate with the warehouse to oversee inventory allocation, packing, and shipping. Additional duties involve supporting stock forecasting, overseeing artists' tour stock management, coordinating mail-outs, providing support for artist in-store events, and generating pre-order, sales, and inventory reports.
The ideal candidate possesses label and/or distribution experience in physical retail sales, with knowledge of physical retail outlets. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, is required. The role demands excellent internal and external communication skills, professional diplomacy, and a self-starter attitude capable of adapting to a rapidly changing business environment. A strong passion for and knowledge of music is also important.
