Data Center Project Manager
IMC is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Data Center Project Manager to join our Global Research Cluster (GRC) team in Chicago. As the number of GRC systems and locations continues to grow, this role will be key in managing all activities related to our data center environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical understanding of data center infrastructure, hands-on project management skills, and the ability to coordinate seamlessly across internal teams and external vendors.
The Data Center Project Manager will oversee end-to-end operations across multiple data centers, ensuring efficient project execution, hardware delivery, and ongoing maintenance. Key responsibilities include managing data center expansion projects, overseeing power and cooling design and installation, coordinating hardware delivery and installation processes, leading hardware monitoring and issue resolution, and managing equipment servicing and maintenance. Additionally, the role involves coordinating data center engineering and vendor operations, serving as the primary contact for data center vendors, and performing hands-on data center work when required.
Candidates should have proven experience in the design and delivery of data center power and cooling systems, hands-on experience managing modern high-performance computing environments and liquid-cooled GPU hosts, and strong project management capabilities. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple complex initiatives simultaneously are essential. Strong communication and collaboration skills are also required to work effectively across technical and vendor teams.
IMC offers a competitive base salary range of $160,000 to $220,000 USD for this role. In addition to the base salary, all full-time, permanent positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and benefits, including paid leave and insurance.
