Data Engineer - AI/ML (f/m/d)
As a Data Engineer specializing in AI/ML at Awin, you will play a pivotal role in harnessing the company's extensive data resources to enhance commercial decision-making and optimize campaign management for client-facing teams. This position is integral to the Data Services department, where you'll collaborate with a global team of data engineers and analysts to develop and automate predictive models that drive business success.
Your primary responsibilities will include designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and storage systems tailored for AI/ML workloads. You'll be tasked with developing and deploying machine learning models, ensuring their reliability and performance, and implementing best practices for data extraction, transformation, and storage. Additionally, you'll evaluate existing models, recommend improvements, and establish metrics to monitor their effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on mathematics and statistics. A minimum of two years' experience in AI/ML projects using Python is required. Proficiency with Databricks, including Jobs, Asset Bundles, Delta Lake, and MLflow, as well as Azure data engineering tools like Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake Storage, is essential. A solid understanding of Scrum practices and an Agile mindset are also important.
