Data Engineer
BrainRocket is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Birkirkara, Malta. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data models that support business requirements, optimizing them for performance and scalability. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Apache Airflow, and implement Kafka-based streaming data pipelines for real-time data processing and integration with various systems. Additionally, you will integrate third-party databases and APIs, establish monitoring and maintenance procedures to ensure the health and reliability of data pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and fulfill data requirements.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in data manipulation and transformation. A strong understanding of data warehouse and data modeling techniques is essential. You should have experience in designing, building, and maintaining complex data pipelines using Airflow, and a proven track record in data engineering roles focused on scalable data solutions using Snowflake or Redshift. Practical experience in implementing Kafka-based streaming architectures for real-time data processing is also required.
