Data Scientist
Ceribell, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist to join our data science team in Sunnyvale, CA. As a medical technology company dedicated to transforming the diagnosis and management of serious neurological conditions, we have developed the Ceribell System—a novel, point-of-care EEG platform designed to meet the needs of patients in acute care settings. Our technology is currently utilized in numerous community hospitals, large academic facilities, and major integrated delivery networks nationwide.
In this role, you will design and develop state-of-the-art classification algorithms for various neurological indications. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include analyzing time-series data, applying statistical signal processing and machine learning techniques, and collaborating with business and clinical stakeholders to define project needs and communicate results. Additionally, you will document and validate models to comply with regulatory requirements and stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and neurodiagnostics.
The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, with over seven years of relevant research or industry experience. Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or R is essential, along with a strong background in signal processing, time-series analysis, and machine learning. Experience with large-scale datasets, advanced machine learning techniques such as deep learning architectures, and a preference for experience in neurodiagnostics or EEG data processing are highly desirable.
The compensation range for this position is $184,000 to $210,000 USD annually, with the final offer based on skills, education, work location, and experience.
