Data Scientist
Metropolis is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Data Scientist to join our growing data team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. As a leader in artificial intelligence, Metropolis utilizes computer vision technology to create frictionless, checkout-free experiences in the real world, starting with reimagining parking to enable millions of consumers to just "drive in and drive out."
In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets from multiple sources. You will build and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems, design and implement A/B tests and statistical analyses, and collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product, engineering, and marketing—to define analytics requirements. Additionally, you will develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor key metrics and communicate complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner to stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, along with over four years of proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst. Strong proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch are essential. Experience with big data tools like Spark or Hadoop, as well as familiarity with data visualization tools, is also desired. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are crucial for success in this role.
While not required, experience with cloud platforms—preferably AWS (including S3, SageMaker, and Airflow)—is a plus. Additionally, strong SQL skills with experience in Snowflake, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, as well as familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, are advantageous.
Metropolis values in-person collaboration to drive innovation, strengthen culture, and enhance the member experience. Our corporate team members adhere to an office-first model, requiring employees to be on-site at least four days a week, fostering organic interactions that spark creativity and connection. Joining Metropolis means becoming part of a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate.
