Data Scientist
RADAR is seeking a Data Scientist to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and research, to enhance our RFID analytics platform. Our mission is to build the data infrastructure layer for the physical world, starting with retail, by providing real-time product location data through our hardware-enabled SaaS platform.
As a Data Scientist at RADAR, you will design, build, and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines that power our RFID analytics. You will develop and deploy end-to-end machine learning pipelines, including feature engineering, training, and evaluation. Collaborating closely with research teams, you will work to improve RFID-based positioning algorithms and core modeling approaches. Additionally, you will design and execute experiments and simulations, perform deep analytical investigations to identify root causes, and establish best practices for data science and experimentation workflows.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with equivalent practical experience or a Master's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a data science or applied machine learning role is required. Strong proficiency in Python and common data science libraries, as well as solid SQL skills, are essential. A solid foundation in statistics, probability, and linear algebra, along with experience in both classical machine learning and modern deep learning techniques, is expected. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also necessary.
RADAR offers a competitive compensation package, including equity, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) plan, flexible time off, and paid parental leave. The expected base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $200,000, with individual pay determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills and experience.
