Decentralized Exchange - Senior IC Risk Quant
The Senior IC Risk Quant role at Hyphen Connect Limited involves leading the quantitative direction across trading, margining, liquidation, lending, and risk-related products within the company's decentralized exchange platform. In this role, the individual will devise and own a consistent, coherent quantitative direction across various financial products, ensuring that models, parameters, and mechanisms form a harmonious system. Responsibilities include owning end-to-end correctness, feasibility, and desirability in production, preventing edge cases, stress scenarios, and failures. The role also involves handling feedback on quantitative behavior by answering questions, diagnosing issues, and driving fixes, as well as refining models based on outcomes while prioritizing consistency.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience building or operating trading venues, exchanges, or market infrastructure, along with a strong background as a quant, trader, or financial modeler, with hands-on experience designing or validating trading or risk models. Proven product management strength is essential, including owning outcomes end-to-end, driving cross-functional alignment, and writing high-quality, precise specifications. A deep understanding of margining, liquidation, leverage, and systemic risk mechanics is required, along with a strong operational mindset and comfort owning systems in production. Excellent communication skills, especially in explaining complex quantitative reasoning clearly, and sound judgment under ambiguity and high-stakes decision-making are also necessary.
