Deputy General Counsel, Energy
CoreWeave is seeking a Deputy General Counsel, Energy, to lead complex commercial power and infrastructure transactions essential for the deployment and operation of hyperscale data centers and high-performance computing environments worldwide. This role involves close collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams to structure and execute high-impact transactions in a fast-paced, technologically advanced setting.
Key responsibilities include advising on energy and power procurement strategies for the company's expanding data center portfolio, negotiating power purchase agreements, and partnering with internal teams to drive strategic infrastructure initiatives. The role also entails supporting corporate development and project financing transactions, providing counsel on regulatory matters, and managing relationships with external counsel and regulators.
The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. A minimum of 15 years of experience in law firms and/or in-house legal departments is required, with significant expertise in complex cloud infrastructure, data centers, energy and power procurement, and large-scale commercial energy transactions. Proficiency in negotiating power purchase agreements and knowledge of state and federal statutes affecting the power sector are essential.
Compensation for this position includes a base salary range of $161,000 to $237,000, determined by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. The total rewards package also comprises a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program.
