Design Manager

The Design Manager at BESIX Watpac will lead and coordinate design activities for large-scale construction projects, ensuring alignment with project briefs and client expectations. This role is integral to the Queensland Construction team, based in Brisbane, and focuses on delivering high-quality design documentation within budget and on schedule. Key responsibilities include managing external design consultants to produce compliant and efficient design documentation, reviewing designs for regulatory adherence, and collaborating with construction teams to enhance constructability. The Design Manager will also participate in developing project methodologies and maintain rigorous design quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidates should possess a tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering, along with experience in delivering large-scale Design & Construct projects. Strong collaboration skills with external consultants and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment are essential.
