Developer Productivity Engineer
IMC is seeking an experienced software developer to join its productivity team, which focuses on enhancing the efficiency of trading, research, and engineering teams. Instead of directly building trading strategies, this team provides tools, infrastructure, and processes that reduce friction and accelerate delivery. The role involves building robust solutions and addressing challenges across the technology stack to improve the daily productivity of developers globally.
Key responsibilities include scaling and advancing IMC's trading systems builds and development tooling to support an excellent work environment for developers. The role also involves ensuring reliable multi-tenant development environment operations supporting hundreds of concurrent users across global regions. Additionally, the position requires troubleshooting potential issues with build infrastructure and implementing improvements, as well as designing and building infrastructure supporting the development, build, test, and release processes. Driving the adoption of best practices in code health, development productivity, and maintainability is also a critical aspect of the role.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of software development experience in Python, Java, and/or C++. Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and cluster management is required. The candidate should also have experience implementing monitoring and alerting systems with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and observability platforms. Prior experience with Bazel or other monorepo-build software is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with stakeholders across all phases of product design, development, and delivery.
The base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $225,000 USD. In addition to the base salary, all full-time, permanent positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and benefits, including paid leave and insurance. For more comprehensive information, please visit IMC's benefits page.
