is seeking a Director of Embedded Software to lead the Device Engineering organization's embedded software strategy and execution. This role involves overseeing multiple teams of Embedded Software Engineers and Engineering Managers to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable software across the company's device portfolio. The position requires deep technical expertise in embedded systems and executive leadership skills to drive organizational vision, strategy, and long-term technical roadmaps.

Key responsibilities include leading and managing multiple embedded software engineering teams, defining and executing the long-term embedded software strategy, and collaborating with executive leadership, product management, and engineering teams to drive strategic initiatives. The Director will also manage project leads working with third-party hardware companies to develop embedded software solutions and ensure seamless integration into the ecosystem. Additionally, the role involves driving technical excellence through standardization, best practices, and scalable development processes.

The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with an M.S. preferred. A strong technical background with knowledge of C/C++, embedded systems architecture, and modern development practices is essential. The role requires 10+ years of experience in Embedded Systems development with increasing leadership responsibility, including 5+ years leading engineering teams. Experience with Embedded Operating Systems like Buildroot, Yocto Project, Android, and embedded Linux distributions is also required.
