Director, Loan Accounting
Figure is seeking a Director of Loan Accounting to lead the accounting functions for its loan-related products, including Figure Connect and tokenized financial products. This role involves full accountability for the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial reporting, and developing scalable accounting frameworks to support the company's rapid growth. The Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate accounting requirements into new product launches and maintain robust internal controls.
Key responsibilities include overseeing accounting for loan origination, servicing, and sales, preparing and delivering clear reports on close status and risk areas, and designing accounting policies that anticipate the needs of a growing business. The Director will also serve as the primary accounting liaison to Product and Engineering teams, ensuring accurate reflection of loan product flows in the ledger from inception. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a management role, preferably within fintech, loan accounting, or a high-growth environment. A deep understanding of GAAP financial reporting, loan accounting, and large-scale reconciliation management is essential. Experience with SOX compliance and collaboration with Product and Engineering teams is highly desirable. Exposure to digital assets, crypto, or blockchain-based systems is a plus but not required.

Additional benefits encompass comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance with 100% employer-paid premiums for employees and their dependents on select plans, company HSA, FSA, Dependent Care, 401(k), and commuter benefits, employer-funded life and disability insurance coverage, 11 observed holidays, a PTO plan, up to 12 weeks of paid family leave, and continuing education reimbursement.
