Director of Information Security

The Director of Information Security at Verra Mobility is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise cybersecurity solutions. Reporting to the Vice President of Information Security, this role leads the cybersecurity architecture and engineering functions, ensuring the organization is protected from internal and external threats while maintaining operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include planning and implementing security measures to safeguard access to resources, networks, systems, and data. The director will configure, deploy, and monitor various security technologies such as SIEM, WAF, firewalls, IAM, MFA, and more. Additionally, the role involves staying updated on industry best practices, monitoring vendor security reports, and collaborating with business executives to manage and mitigate security risks.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited university and have at least 10 years of progressive technology experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a cybersecurity engineering or architecture leadership role. Essential skills include the ability to lead and motivate a cybersecurity team, strong business acumen, experience in strategic planning and budgeting, and proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash. Certifications such as CISSP or CompTIA Security+ are required.
