Director of IT - Oakland, CA
Fictiv is seeking a hands-on Director of IT to lead technology operations for its newly combined global organization. This role involves completing a critical integration effort over the next 8–12 months and building a scalable, high-performing IT function for the long term. The Director will lead a globally distributed team of approximately 14 IT professionals across the U.S., India, China, and Mexico, ensuring the performance, reliability, and evolution of the company's technology environment.
Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day IT operations to ensure systems are reliable, secure, and performant; establishing service levels and a unified IT support experience; leading incident management processes; and proactively monitoring and improving system health. The Director will also drive the completion of a major technology integration, including Microsoft 365 and Entra ID consolidation, migration from Google Workspace, Okta decommissioning, CrowdStrike Falcon deployment, and next-generation SIEM implementation. Additionally, the role encompasses managing Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune across various environments, CrowdStrike Falcon operations, and SIEM strategy, as well as administering collaboration platforms like Slack Enterprise Grid and Microsoft 365.
The ideal candidate will have deep, hands-on experience with CrowdStrike Falcon, next-generation SIEM platforms, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune endpoint management, and Microsoft 365 & Slack Enterprise Grid administration. A strong foundation in DNS, SaaS environments, and enterprise IT operations is essential, along with experience in large-scale migrations and system integrations. Candidates should possess over 10 years in IT operations, infrastructure, or systems engineering, with at least 5 years managing IT teams. Experience supporting 200+ user environments across multiple locations and proven experience in mergers, acquisitions, or major IT consolidations are also required.
