Director of Launch
Metropolis is seeking a Director of Launch to oversee the end-to-end project management and successful deployment of all commercial launches across the company. This strategic leadership role involves managing a diverse portfolio spanning office, healthcare, residential, and stadium verticals, ensuring each launch is executed on time and aligns with revenue, operational, and client success goals. The Director will act as the bridge between strategy and execution, leading a team of Launch Managers and Associates while collaborating closely with Sales, Operations, Product, and Finance teams to standardize execution and mitigate risks associated with high-growth profiles.
Key responsibilities include leading the execution of all commercial launches, ensuring readiness across all workstreams from contract through post-launch stabilization. The Director will align launch execution with commercial objectives such as revenue ramp, pricing activation, compliance, and consumer adoption. Managing, mentoring, and developing Launch Managers and Associates by establishing clear accountability and performance expectations is essential. Additionally, the role involves maintaining full visibility into ongoing and upcoming launches to proactively identify risks and remove obstacles, serving as a senior point of contact for key clients and internal stakeholders during high-priority or complex launches, and implementing scalable solutions to improve the speed, consistency, and quality of deployments.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in end-to-end project management and deployment within a commercial or operations environment. A proven track record of leading diverse teams and managing direct reports is crucial. Experience executing complex launches across multiple verticals such as healthcare, residential, and stadium environments is required. Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively serve as a senior point of contact for high-priority clients and internal stakeholders. The candidate should possess analytical skills to deliver reporting on revenue performance and portfolio health, the ability to develop scalable processes that translate strategy into execution, and a focus on driving results aligned with revenue capture and consumer adoption goals. Experience navigating high-growth environments with an emphasis on operational excellence and customer experience is also important.
The anticipated base salary for this position is between $140,000 and $165,000 annually. The actual base salary offered will be determined by factors such as the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. The base salary is one component of Metropolis' total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a stock option plan, bonus plans, and more.
