Employment Law Associate Attorney

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an Employment Law Associate Attorney to join our growing Employment Law department in the Tampa/St. Petersburg metro area. This role involves managing a complex caseload from pre-litigation through trial, providing comprehensive legal support to clients, and collaborating with a team dedicated to protecting the rights of employees.

The Associate Attorney will handle cases from pre-litigation to litigation, primarily focusing on the pre-suit phase and assisting senior attorneys once claims proceed to litigation. Responsibilities include drafting and filing litigation documents such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses, demands, motions, and memoranda. The attorney will guide clients through the case process, interact with expert witnesses—including conducting conferences and drafting expert reports and affidavits—and prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be an active member in good standing with the State Bar Association. Experience with wage and hour claims is a plus. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage a high volume of pre-litigation and litigation cases, demonstrate excellent client service and communication skills, and be a self-starter driven by long-term career goals.
