Agoda is seeking an Engineering Manager – DevOps to lead a team dedicated to automating the software development lifecycle across all research and development initiatives. This role is based in Bangkok, Thailand, with relocation assistance provided. The DevOps Engineering team is responsible for maintaining central development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and internal portals to enhance efficiency and security. As part of Agoda, a global travel platform supported by Booking Holdings, this position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that processes approximately one million pipelines each month.

The Engineering Manager will be hands-on, writing and reviewing code while providing expert coaching to DevOps engineers. Key responsibilities include maintaining and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, enforcing best practices, and automating security testing at scale. The role also involves overseeing central development systems such as source control, CI, and service discovery, as well as developing full-stack internal tools and portals to support development workflows. Bridging the gap between development and operations teams to enhance collaboration and efficiency is a critical aspect of this position.

Candidates should have hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment. Prior experience managing engineering teams with at least five direct reports is essential. The ability to operate autonomously, make decisions, set key performance indicators, and demonstrate strong ownership is required. Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and managing agile scrum teams is also necessary. Strong coding skills in modern languages, preferably Python or Go, and deep knowledge of development ecosystem tools including Git, CI, Docker, and Kubernetes are expected.
