Experian is seeking an accomplished and experienced Java Engineering Lead/Manager to lead our UKBI engineering team. Reporting to the Engineering Director, this role involves guiding a team of Java engineers in developing scalable software solutions within a microservices architecture. The Engineering Manager will lead a team of Java engineers, providing guidance for their professional development. Responsibilities include collaborating with teams to understand requirements and provide solutions, staying up-to-date with industry trends to lead innovation, developing scalable software solutions using Java, microservices architecture, Docker, EKS, and search systems with Solr or Open Search, ensuring software delivery through best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, participating in sprints with hands-on software development, maintaining unit tests and contributing to test automation, managing risks and technical impediments, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and providing technical guidance to team members.

Candidates should have experience in Java, microservices, Python, SQL, and NoSQL database technologies. Experience with search technologies such as Solr or Open Search, expertise in AWS services like EC2, EKS, and Lambda, familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively with partners at all levels are also required.
