Engineering Manager, Pub Admin
Sony Music Entertainment is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the development of Pub Admin, a unified rights and royalty platform, within the Product Design Engineering and Global Operations (PDEGO) team at the King's Cross office in London. This role involves managing a team of full-stack engineers to deliver internal platforms that support Sony Music's global songwriting community.
The Engineering Manager will cultivate a high-performance agile development team, balancing the execution of new features with maintaining system health. Responsibilities include holding regular one-on-one meetings, mentoring engineers, collaborating with directors to drive engineering vision, and working with product teams to develop solutions aligned with business strategies. The role also involves continuously improving platforms and experimenting with new technologies to integrate them into the existing stack when appropriate.
Candidates should have over seven years of experience, including at least two years in an engineering management role. Experience working in agile teams, strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to drive complex projects are essential. An interest in music and learning the intricacies of the music business is beneficial. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PHP, or JavaScript, experience with React/frontend JavaScript, writing unit and integration tests, and reviewing code changes are also required.
