Equity Options Trader
IMC is seeking an experienced Equity Options Trader to join our expanding Europe & Brazil Equity Options team. This team has traditionally focused on highly liquid stocks but is now broadening its scope to include a wider range of symbols and regions, presenting new and exciting challenges. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing positional trading strategies and contributing to the team's growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing revenue by creating competitive trading strategies, utilizing and enhancing our existing suite of signals. You will take on significant responsibility and ownership early in your tenure, driving strategies forward to achieve success. Collaboration is key at IMC; you will work closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and developers, engaging in a mix of operational trading and data-driven analysis. Additionally, you will contribute to improving our options pricing by investigating new models and refining our existing framework.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as an equity options trader. A strong academic background is essential, with a preference for degrees in mathematics, science, financial engineering, or computer science. You should demonstrate the ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and possess a passion for continuous learning. While not mandatory, experience in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, Java, Matlab, or SQL is advantageous. Analytical skills are crucial, as you will be expected to continually enhance trading strategies, identify missed opportunities, and explore new trading ideas and products.
