Finance & Accounting Intern
Legend Biotech is seeking a Finance & Accounting Intern to join our Accounting Team for the 2026 Summer Internship Program, running from June 1st to August 14th, 2026. This role offers a comprehensive introduction to the financial operations within a leading biotechnology company dedicated to developing advanced cell therapies for life-threatening diseases.
The intern will rotate on a weekly or bi-weekly basis through various Finance & Accounting groups, including US Accounting, RoW (Ireland, Belgium, Cayman) Accounting, Accounts Payable, External Reporting & Technical Accounting, Internal Audit, and Master Data Governance. Responsibilities encompass supporting month-end close activities, post-close financial analysis, processing third-party and intercompany invoices, consolidating quarter-end financial statements, conducting technical accounting research, assisting with internal audits, and managing master data within ERP systems. Additionally, the intern will leverage automation, technology, and GenAI tools to enhance process efficiency and task performance.
Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related business field, with junior year standing or higher. Completion of introductory coursework in fundamental accounting principles (ideally intermediate accounting), finance, and/or economics is required. An interest in obtaining CPA certification or pursuing a career in FP&A is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel, familiarity with automation concepts and GenAI tools, strong ownership of task completion, and robust analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
