Finance Manager

WPP Media is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, governance, and reporting for the Sri Lanka market. This role involves partnering closely with business teams and senior leadership to provide strategic financial insights, enhance commercial discipline, and improve operational efficiency across the organization. The Finance Manager will lead the finance team and provide direction on finance operations.

Key responsibilities include leading the month-end close process, ensuring compliance with WPP financial governance and internal control frameworks, and managing internal and external audit queries. The role also involves overseeing vendor invoice validation, client invoicing processes, and strengthening commercial governance by ensuring proper pricing, contract compliance, and margin protection. Additionally, the Finance Manager will oversee statutory filings, tax submissions, and monitor regulatory changes to ensure timely adherence to new compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting (IFRS), management accounting, and audit readiness. Proficiency in tax compliance, forecasting, budgeting, and planning is essential. Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP/BFC, and internal controls and risk management is also required. Leadership competencies such as strategic advisory capability, stakeholder management, and effective communication are crucial for success in this role.
