Financial Risk Analyst
Adyen, a leading financial technology platform serving clients like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft, is seeking a Financial Risk Analyst to join their Merchant Potential Liability Team in Amsterdam. This team evaluates and manages financial risks, such as chargebacks, from a diverse portfolio of enterprise merchants and assesses the risk of new products. The role involves close collaboration with Commercial, Product, and Legal teams to innovate and scale Adyen's financial risk management framework.
As a Financial Risk Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include conducting in-depth credit assessments of merchants, providing clear and concise credit risk recommendations to key partners, and supporting merchants throughout their credit lifecycle at Adyen. You will monitor the health of the credit portfolio by tracking various data sources, take ownership of credit risk procedures ensuring quality and timeliness, identify gaps in policies, and drive continuous improvements in risk procedures. Additionally, you will share Adyen's approach to credit risk management with merchants and commercial teams.
The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience in a financial risk environment and a strong interest in business and financial markets. Excellent communication skills are essential for collaborating with merchants and colleagues across cultures and time zones. The role requires innovative problem-solving abilities, a proactive 'can-do' mentality, and strong data and analytical skills, with experience in SQL, Python, or R considered a plus. A university degree in business economics, statistics, finance, or another quantitative field is preferred.
