FinTech Strategic Insights / Business Development Specialist
Financial Technology Partners (FT Partners) is seeking a FinTech Strategic Insights Associate to join our team in San Francisco or New York City. As the only investment bank exclusively focused on the financial technology sector, FT Partners provides strategic and financial advisory services to innovative companies shaping the future of finance. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leading FinTech businesses globally, contributing to high-profile transactions across sectors such as Payments, Banking, Financial Management Systems, Crypto & Blockchain, InsurTech, and SaaS.
In this position, you will be responsible for tracking industry trends, company performance, investment activity, and emerging technologies within the FinTech landscape. You will conduct in-depth research and analysis of FinTech, blockchain, and cryptocurrency sectors to drive deal sourcing and procurement. Leading analysts, you will develop client targeting strategies, analyze prospective companies, and advance the business development pipeline. Additionally, you will collaborate with senior bankers to create presentations and materials aimed at securing new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, venture capital, corporate strategy, or a related field. A strong knowledge and hands-on experience in blockchain and cryptocurrency are essential. Proficiency in developing code and leveraging AI tools for process and workflow optimization is also required. A deep understanding of FinTech market dynamics and emerging trends, along with superior research, writing, and presentation skills, are necessary. A bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution is required; an advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
