Fraud Analyst
Recorded Future is seeking a Fraud Analyst to join its Threat Intelligence team. This role involves conducting research on emerging cyber threats, adversary activities, and global threat trends to support the company's mission of providing actionable intelligence to its clients. The analyst will work collaboratively within a globally distributed team to enhance the organization's threat detection and response capabilities.
Key responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing data from various technical and open sources to produce actionable intelligence. The analyst will monitor and assess Chinese-language sources to identify relevant threat activities and insights, support tracking of threat actor infrastructure and evolving tactics, and contribute to high-quality intelligence reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves assisting in identifying and developing indicators and detection opportunities, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams, including intelligence, engineering, and data science.
The ideal candidate will possess a BA/BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Security, Intelligence, Security Studies, or a related field, along with 1–2 years of experience in Threat Intelligence, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline. A foundational understanding of cyber threat analysis and intelligence methodologies is essential, as well as basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and internet infrastructure. Experience with analyzing technical artifacts such as domains and IP addresses, familiarity with OSINT collection and analysis techniques, and exposure to common CTI tools and workflows are also required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences. Professional working proficiency in Chinese is mandatory for this role.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $78,500 to $117,500, determined by role, level, and location. Within this range, individual pay is based on factors such as state, work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
