Frontend Engineer
Lightning AI is seeking a Frontend Engineer to enhance and scale the user interface and frontend infrastructure of our platform. As the company behind PyTorch Lightning, we provide an end-to-end solution for developing, training, and deploying AI systems, facilitating a seamless transition from research to production. With a global presence in New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, and London, and backed by prominent investors, we serve a diverse clientele ranging from solo researchers to large enterprises.
In this role, you will be responsible for writing efficient, readable, and testable code using React and Redux to deliver new features, improve system stability, and enhance overall performance. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to develop the user interface and frontend infrastructure, setting the technical direction for significant projects. Additionally, you will evaluate, strengthen, and document technical architecture, tools, and processes, while maintaining high standards for software quality through automation and continuous delivery. Mentoring and coaching engineers on system design and problem-solving will also be a key aspect of your day-to-day work.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, along with a strong understanding of software engineering principles and lifecycle. Hands-on experience as a Frontend Engineer in a SaaS technology company is essential, as is the proven ability to take ownership of key features and drive end-to-end development. Effective communication and collaboration skills with engineers, product managers, and designers are required, as well as the ability to operate in high uncertainty and rapidly changing environments.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $120,000 to $250,000 USD, a discretionary bonus, meaningful equity, and comprehensive benefits.
