Ceribell is seeking a Full Stack Senior Software Engineer to join our development team in Sunnyvale, CA. This role focuses on developing our EEG Portal, a platform enabling real-time, remote review of patient EEGs. Ceribell is dedicated to transforming the diagnosis and management of serious neurological conditions through innovative medical technology.

The engineer will lead the design and implementation of scalable back-end services and APIs, ensuring high performance and data integrity. Responsibilities include adhering to FedRAMP High requirements for security and compliance, managing the full software development lifecycle, deploying containerized web applications on cloud infrastructure, and designing efficient database schemas for real-time EEG data. Collaboration with front-end developers to define APIs and contribute to user interface implementation is also expected.

Candidates should possess a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or have 5+ years of professional experience in web application development with a focus on back-end systems. Proficiency in Node.js, Ruby on Rails, and SQL is required, along with experience in deploying scalable web applications using Docker/Kubernetes on AWS or GCP. Familiarity with FedRAMP requirements and experience with JavaScript or TypeScript for both back-end and some front-end development are also necessary. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Compensation for this position ranges from $173,000 to $190,000 per year for candidates in the SF Bay Area, Greater LA Area, or NY Metro, and from $122,000 to $140,000 per year for candidates in other locations.
